Mrs. Mittelstaedt

Welcome to Endeavour Intermediate! I am the proud principal of Endeavour Intermediate and beyond humbled to continue to be a part of this amazing school and community. I am a lifelong learner and have spent the past 21 years as an educator, leader and partner in schools.

I have worked as an administrator at Surprise Lake Middle School, Hedden Elementary and before coming to Fife, I worked in the Puyallup School District teaching a variety of grades starting at 2nd through 9th grades. I am also a part of the Milton community, with two of my own children who attend Fife Schools. Most importantly, I am passionate about reaching all students through a collective community of collaborators and supporting them as they grow academically and socially.

At Endeavour Intermediate School our mission is to assist our students in becoming better readers, writers, problem solvers, scientists, and mathematicians. We believe all of our students deserve our attention, through engaging and high quality student work and support as they progress throughout the learning system. We believe that this progress can only be successful through effective collaboration with our parents, families, and community partners. Parents are such an important part of our learning community and your voice is essential in achieving success for all our students.

With that said, great things are happening at Endeavour Intermediate and in our district!  Our staff have effectively implemented and refined our K-12 English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum, “Reach for Reading,” over the past two years for your child(ren) and are looking forward to continuing this important work.  We are also committed to the work of our Math curriculum, “Bridges II,” and are growing strong in our third year of implementation for grades K-5.

Our Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports school-wide systems teach and reinforce expected behaviors and recognize students for regular attendance, achieving academic goals, and demonstrating expected behavior. We are continuing to strengthen our systems that support students’ social and emotional needs with our counseling department and support staff, as well. As we continue to grow, I encourage you and your child to get involved in the variety of clubs and family events when they come available.

Most recently, our staff have worked diligently to support our students and families during the COVID-19 pandemic.  This has been a challenge for all involved, but together we are Fife and together we’ve got this!  As times continue to change by the day, know that our passion lies with and for our students and families.  We appreciate all your continued support as we plan for the 2020-2021 school year.

Throughout the year, there will be many ways for families to get involved at school. If you are interested in getting involved, finding resources or visiting our pages, you can start by checking out the following sites:

As always, thank you for partnering with us!  Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions and/or concerns.

Sincerely,

Amy Mittelstaedt - Endeavour Intermediate Principal
